Getting started

Frequently asked questions

Which cameras and log formats are supported?

LogBloom ships with conversions for Apple Log → Rec.709 (iPhone) and DJI D-Log → Rec.709 (DJI drones), computed from the published color science. You can also import any standard .cube LUT and tag its input color space.

Can I use my own LUTs?

Yes. Import .cube files from Files or by sharing them to LogBloom. They appear in your Library and can be stacked, tuned, and saved as Looks.

Where does processing happen? Is my footage uploaded?

Everything happens on your device. Your videos and photos are never uploaded to us. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Do my LUTs and Looks sync between devices?

Yes — your LUTs and Looks sync through your own private iCloud account. Make sure you’re signed into iCloud and that iCloud Drive is enabled. Projects and the built-in starter pack don’t sync.

My HDR clip looks different after grading.

HDR/HLG sources are tone-mapped to SDR, and the app flags this in the editor and export sheet. HDR-preserving output isn’t supported yet.

The colors look wrong when I stack LUTs.

LogBloom always applies the log→Rec.709 conversion before your creative look, regardless of order, to keep colors correct. If a look still looks off, lower its intensity in the Chain panel or remove conflicting conversion LUTs.

How do I grade a batch of clips?

Import up to 50 clips from Photos. Grade them individually in the queue, or use Export All with This Grade to apply one look to the whole batch with per-clip color-profile detection.

Why do I see an ad, and how do I control tracking?

LogBloom is free and supported by a single ad on the Home screen. You control ad personalization through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, and can change it anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
